Anyway, with the last Jamaa Journal issue, AJHQ posted another thing about Phantom Day.
Too happy, right? They describe it as cool, fun, and to top it all off, silly. Seriously? This isn't a "silly" celebration of Jamaa's worst enemy. This is an annual time when the phantoms spread across Jamaa. It is a scary, dangerous time, not a silly, fun time. Two years ago they didn't treat Phantom Day like this. And you know what the reason is? Animal Jam is no longer targeting 8-12 year-olds, a recent article said the CEO of Smart Bomb (the creator of Animal Jam) said that AJ is targeting 6-10 year-olds. And apparently "scary" is too much for them (which isn't true) and so is an interesting story line for a game.
Also, from this article apparently the Day of the Phantoms is now the Night of the Phantoms? And I really think AJHQ used to call it Phantom Day back in 2010, so I'm going to stick with that. I'm still thinking of an explanation for the phantoms and Phantom Day, and I'm almost ready to write The Legend of Captain Melvile Part 2.
So keep viewing the central, and jam on!

I couldn't agree more. "Silly" is stupid because it's the exact opposite.
ReplyDeletei agree BIG TIME!!!!!!!!! we should go to jamma township and have a potest (sorry i spelled that wrong)
ReplyDeletelol. If you tell me a time and date, I'll try to be there. :D
DeleteI totally agree! It's not like 6-year-olds can't handle "scary". Plus, phantoms are NOT supposed to be silly! I think this is a bad change to AJ; if it's Halloween, make it scary! It's HALLOWEEN, not April Fool's Day! :U
ReplyDeleteActually, I think it's not even Halloween, like I said in my latest post. It's Phantom Day, which is totally different.
Deletethey are silly they make aj so boring now
ReplyDeleteYeah... I'm writing a story abot how they really are. :)
Deletethey pretty much takeaway all our fun #what ajhq does
ReplyDeleteThey should have kept the age limit at 8-10 because some 6 year olds can be really stupid :D
